First nrd of Autumnm!
National Rail Disco at KambarDOC DANEEKA
Doc Daneeka has remixed Manchester buzz band Delphic and makes house music that takes in the best of the UK: dubstep’s focus on the bottom end, Funky’s desire to look abroad for rhythm patterns and percussion, and grime’s grit.
Boasting an ever-growing list of supporters, Marcus Nasty, L-Vis, Bok Bok, Brackles, Footloose, Jackmaster and TRG to name a few, Doc Daneeka has been named as one of FACT magazine's 10 Producers to Watch in 2010, and his track Drums in the Deep has just been released on the Fabric 'Elevator Music Vol. 1' compilation.
GREENA
As part of the Night Slugs axis alongside L-Vis and Bok Bok, Greena has been leading London on a merry dance through tropical bass climes with a blend of post-grime flex with an electric Funky stance. With the first release on Night Slugs (Mosca - Square One) featuring Greena on remix duty and plenty of rumoured releases in the pipeline we expect the (entirely justified) hype around this dude to grow exponentially in 2010.
XxXy
XxXy may be better known to the dubstep community as Forensix Mcr but in his new guise he's keenly focussed his energies on a pristine dubtech sound aiming for that school populated by F, Peverelist or Ghostleigh. Hailing from Manchester, he produces bass music that sucks in elements of house, techno and all the other good stuff that’s been perforating dance floors at the tail end of 2009. He’s released on the Formant, Mindset and Open Earz (alongside Indigo) labels and also has a track, ‘Sing With Us,’ forthcoming on the new fabric compilation, ‘Elevator Music Vol 1.’
